Is Something Wrong With IZEA?

I don't know about you but this past two days, the two paid-to-blog services of IZEA have been having glitches in their system or the network's doing it intentionally.

The other day, I was withdrawing some money I earned from blogging for Socialspark and their system prompted that I did not have enough funds in my account to withdraw such amount. And it was less than $50 only, I mean, it wasn't a very big amount. I submitted a help ticket and the good thing was I was able to withdraw it yesterday. But the first thing that came to my mind was that maybe it was Socialspark who didn't have enough funds for the withdrawal I was trying to make. But everything got cleared up so maybe I was wrong for thinking that about them.

But, this morning, as I was checking for available opportunities in my PayPerPost account, I noticed that there were fewer opportunities open than usual. This made me check the 'my blogs' tab to check on the status of my blogs approved by PPP (I currently have 7 blogs approved at PPP but, as of last week only two of them remain to have Page Rank). I was surprised to see that all my blogs, according to their system, have PR 0! So, even though I was a bit nervous that the two remaining blogs I have with PPP that have PR might have been hit by a non-scheduled PR update from Google, I checked the two blogs in my browser and I was relieved that they still have PR and it was PPP who was having another glitch in their system. I already submitted a help ticket about this but I can't help but think that maybe, just maybe, IZEA was having some financial issues. Because having no PR in PPP's eyes means that there would be less opportunities from them. I thought that maybe they're just intentionally doing it so that they won't have to incur payment responsibilities for bloggers for a while.

But, again, these are just my thoughts. I have been blog hopping and have heard the buzz from a blogger friend, jpsimbulan, about PayPerPost and IZEA doing some cleaning up in their system. That they're trying to clean and trim their network of non-quality blogs (not accounts) without really defining their criteria for 'quality blogs'. Maybe this is what's causing the glitches in IZEA's paid-to-blog services.

But what do you think? What are your thoughts about this? Care to share them?
