You have MediCard – Why worry?: 7 Reasons why Medicard is one of the strongest HMOs in the Philippines

I and my wife have been a freelancers for quite some time and honestly, we have earned more compared to working at full-time jobs. But recently, we both agreed that one of the things we miss out on is the benefits of having a health card. Having one provides more security for me and my wife especially because health issues are always unpredictable.

Three years ago, my wife and I planned a trip to Boracay for my birthday and, unexpectedly, my son got sick and became hospitalized. We had to cancel our trip. We had no choice because, bottom line, family and their health comes first. Its implications - we were not able to use the plane fare to Boracay and the accommodation arrangements for the trip. Plus, we had to pay the hospital bills.

Back then, we could have really used some health care service like MediCard. If we didn't have any second thoughts we would have availed of it back then, especially for our son.
