3G Made More Accessible by Red Mobile

Jeff
More than a decade ago, 3G was not even heard of. The capabilities that come with this technical specification for wireless and data communication at much faster rates are so numerous that years ago, I and most people wouldn’t have thought that they were possible.

When I got introduced to gadgets it was in the mid or late 90’s and my first gadget was a beeper. It then evolved to a cellular phone and it was the time when text messaging first became available. But now, gadgets that offer only this service are considered as low end.

But cellular phone units that offer 3G capabilities are considered almost a part of the high end category. Red Mobile, a current hot network, has phones such as the red Spark and red Flame that offer a package that is easy and handy. They include the added advantage of 3G capabilities.

Aside from the 3G capabilities that this new network offers, they also have the cheapest/lowest call rates and of course these rates are easily availed of with Red Mobile’s campaign to make 3G so available to everyone – The Red Mobile Revolution. Their newest handsets can cost as low as P3,290.

As new technology continues to develop, I hope to learn to adapt to it and use it to the full, taking advantage of the new ideas that make life easier and more comfortable.

Terminator Salvation: My Movie Premiere Experience

Jeff
The Terminator Salvation Movie Premiere held last Wednesday at Greenbelt 3, Cinema 2 was a blast! This special screening was made possible by Columbia Pictures and TV5 and I got to watch it with my wife and many other friend bloggers. I have watched the three previous Terminator movies and was not really a big fan, but watching the movie made me want to go and rummage for some copy of the first three ones.

On our way to watch the movie premiere of Terminator Salvation, we met some friend bloggers and plurkers, namely Cher and Rochelle. Driving to Greenbelt 3 was smooth, although we did encounter some traffic in the Makati business district area, but over all it was quick and easy. While inside the Greenbelt 3 parking, however, my car's clutch cable gave way and I was forced to drive the car without using the clutch to shift. It was quite an experience but I was fortunate enough to have eased the car into a parking space.

With all these distractions, I was still so glad that I was able to watch the movie which starred Christian Bale who played the role of John Connor and Sam Worthington as the new terminator, the T600. The movie also included a surprise appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Terminator Salvation was action-packed and the graphics were also spectacular. There were some who thought the ending of the movie was quite lame, but I liked how it ended.

The evolution of John Connor in Terminator

But, because of the violence,it isn't recommended for children and that is also the reason why it was given a PG 13 rating here in the Philippines. Over all, I like the movie and I enjoyed it. Even with all the hassle I had to go through, knowing that after the movie my wife and I had to take public tranportation and that the next day I would have to go back to Greenbelt 3 for the car and replace its clutch cable, I still would watch the movie premiere of Terminator Salvation.

MSI Megabook or an HP Mini Notebook or MSI Wind

Jeff
My wife’s laptop, an MSI Megabook, has been giving her a hard time lately. It has been shutting down in the middle of her work. Probably because the processor is getting real hot so, for now, when working we make sure that the fan is facing the laptop. The shutting down happens even with a laptop cooler is placed beneath the unit.

Lately, we have been talking about buying an HP mini note book or an MSI Wind for easier handling. But I am thinking about the drop down in specs as her current laptop already has a Core Duo 2.0 GHz procesor while most mini notebooks or netbooks only carry a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom. So we really need to think hard before making a decision about this.
