PAGASA, Parma, Pepeng, update
Jeff
8:30:00 AM
Typhoon Pepeng (international name: Parma) was located at 270 km East of Virac, Catanduanes at 4:00 am today by Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) based on satellite and surface data. This typhoon carries a maximum sustained winds of 195 kph and gustiness of up to 230 kph.
With the nearing of Pepeng (a.k.a. Parma), areas that were affected by Ondoy (a.k.a. Ketsana) are bracing for more rain and possibly floods again. The important stuff which were placed on secure and high mounts were not enough against the deep floods that struck last weekend.
Be prepared and be ready – that’s what each of us need to be. Let us also pray and ask god’s protection and mercy to be upon us.
