MSI Megabook or an HP Mini Notebook or MSI Wind

My wife’s laptop, an MSI Megabook, has been giving her a hard time lately. It has been shutting down in the middle of her work. Probably because the processor is getting real hot so, for now, when working we make sure that the fan is facing the laptop. The shutting down happens even with a laptop cooler is placed beneath the unit.

Lately, we have been talking about buying an HP mini note book or an MSI Wind for easier handling. But I am thinking about the drop down in specs as her current laptop already has a Core Duo 2.0 GHz procesor while most mini notebooks or netbooks only carry a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom. So we really need to think hard before making a decision about this.

My friend,

I have also been experiencing the same problem with my office notebook asus ens lately. I have ask our I.T personel to look into the matter and he has adviced me to remove the cooling fan beneath my notebook which I have placed and never to face an electric fan directly to it.

Most of the time dust are the main source why notebooks and laptops shuts down unexpectedly. As what our I.T told me, dust creates static to the circuitry and that is what's causing it. Just mounting up the upper end a little bit to dispurse the heat from your gadget will help a lot especially if your work station has a cooler ambiance. By doing so the heat produced by the gadget will not directly bounce back but instead it will be exhausted by the air surrounding you.
