Cebuana Lhuillier Event: A Lovely Laughternoon with Mr. Winston Maxino and Pinoy Laughter Yogini Paolo Martin Trinidad

Laughternoon with Cebuana Lhuillier: An Inspiring Word from the Very First Happiest Pinoy Mr. Winston Maxino and the Benefits of Pinoy Laughter Yoga.

The Search for the Happiest Pinoy 2019  is on, and its intimate press conference I recently attended cannot be more inspiring and timely, as I have been doing a rather crazy amount of juggling lately. Work, chores, preparations for my son's upcoming a whole week of graduation rehearsals, the graduation itself, an awards banquet, and a very long checklist to tick off for his Philippine Science enrollment for Grade 7.

Cebuana Lhuillier's Happiest Pinoy Search will always be dear to my heart. It was in 2012 that The Grasyas was born. Coined from the room where I stayed with long time blogging mommy friends, Iris Acosta of PinayAds.com, Iris Pulga of Entrepremom.info and Mauie Flores of The24HourMommy.com stayed and where friendship beyond blogging was officially born!

The overnight blog event that Cebuana Lhuillier held for the Happiest Pinoy Search in 2012 was also the place where I got reunited with breastfeeding advocate Ms. Nona Andaya- Castillo, who helped me in 2005, when I was struggling with breastfeeding my son. Ms. Nona shared her story of choosing happiness, being one of the Happiest Pinoy 2010 finalist.

We cannot be more happy to reunite, this time, with Happiest Pinoy 2010 winner, Mr. Winston Maxino, who was also at the 2012 blog event held at The Nurture Spa Tagaytay. Sir Winston is a very inspiring man, who might as well HAVE EVERY REASON TO NOT BE HAPPY, BUT HE CONTINUES TO CHOOSE HAPPINESS anyway to this day, almost 10 years since he bagged the Happiest Pinoy title! Mr. Winston Maximo, is a corporate executive who has ankylosing spondylitis, a rare disease, osteoporosis, asthma and uveitis. Despite his many health issues, he continues to be an encouragement to the people around his sphere of influence.

What I totally appreciate about Cebuana Lhuillier's advocacy for Pinoys to stay happy is that they never discount the legitimacy of the suffering of people. Valid reasons of anxiety, health issues, depression. Truth is life is a battleground.  I love that Cebuana Lhuillier continues to support and champion this Happiest Pinoy Search. It encourages individuals to choose life, despite the spirit of death that trials will otherwise bring.

The Cebuana Lhuillier Search for the Happiest Pinoy is now down to 20 finalists and one of them will take home P1 million in cash prizes. The latest edition of the competition garnered close to 800,000 applications from various localities nationwide, making it the biggest in the Search’s ten-year history.
