Fisher Farms Gourmet Baked Rellenong Bangus for the Holidays

Move on over ham and lechon, our family enjoyed a healthier kind of Noche Buena this year as we shared with our loved ones this 1.3kg Gourmet Baked Rellenong Bangus created by celebrity chef and food expert Reggie Aspiras.

The milkfish is stuffed with a savory filling of fish, sweet potato, bangus belly, shrimp and other premium and special ingredients that give a holiday twist to this traditional dish. Juicy and flavorful but not cloying like its fried counterparts, the Gourmet Baked Rellenong Bangus makes any celebration merry and healthy.

Unlike the traditional rellenong bangus, this is baked and not fried, which cuts down considerably on the fat content without sacrificing flavor. The relleno comes in three generous sizes to suit the Filipino family: 800-grams, 1.1 kilos, and 1.3 kilos.

Fisher Farms Gourmet products

Fisher Farms is the country's leading aquaculture processor and exporter. The company grows its milkfish in the pristine seawaters of Pangasinan in fish cages, resulting to sweeter, more flavorful, firmer and cleaner fish. Only high-protein feeds are given to farmed fish to produce high-quality fish meat.

Check out the enormous Rellenong Bangus sitting in our freezer. It almost did not fit the width of our freezer. The huge milkfish sure looks as big as a "baby pating" (baby shark).

The Gourmet Baked Rellenong Bangus can be baked, fried or microwaved. But for best results, as per the box label, we baked it.

1. Thaw the relleno overnight in the fridge.
2. Preheat the oven to 177ºC.
3. Placed the relleno in a baking dish, brushed with oil and bake for 20 minutes.

That's it! We had the perfect main "noche buena" feast!

As opposed to the extra pounds and the risk of heart diseases ham and lechon come along with its succulent skin, this gourmet relleno doesn't have guilt and health risk attached to it. If at all its the good Omega-3 fatty acids.

Trivia: Did you know that milkfish contains six times more Omega-3 fatty acids content than that of a salmon?

Fisher Farms’ Gourmet Baked Rellenong Bangus is available in select supermarkets in Metro Manila and in select provinces around the country.
