My Flat Tire and the Culprit

This morning, as my wife and I were about to drive off, car already started, a good Samaritan passed beside us, driving his own truck, and told us that we had a flat tire- rear right.

So, I got into working mode, asked my wife to wait inside the house while I replaced the flat tire. It was a good thing that I had a spare tire.

Keeping a working spare tire is really a very wise and practical thing to do. I check on my spare tire regularly, making sure that it's not flat.

That is the same reason why before heading off to visitation today I made it a point to have the flat tire vulcanized first. And guess who or what the culprit is? Nothing but a small piece of metal that looks like a part of a nail.

Lesson learned: small things can make a huge impact in your life. And that is what I am taking away from this start-of-day-experience.

So whether you are at work, in school or at home, do not take lightly the little things that you are doing. They may seem insignificant or futile, but in the grand scheme of things, those little things might just change the course of your day, your week, or your life even.
